Coronavirus Update - COVID-19

Coronavirus – COVID-19 – 4th July 2020

We are delighted to be ‘back in business’ and finally welcoming all our guests back to our cottages throughout Yorkshire and Cumbria.

We do expect all guests to follow government guidelines on travel and public health for their own safety , especially social distancing rules and we are operating a ‘safer stay’ policy throughout all cottages which means :

Lake District cottages – managed by Cumbrian Cottages adopting their safer stay policies.

Additional cleaning between changeover times , removal of unnecessary items in the cottages, key box entry system.

Yorkshire cottages

Thirley Cotes Farm, Seaview cottage and The forge

We are lengthening our cleaning times, each cottage has anti bacterial hand dispensers inside, social distancing signage is in place , high touch items have been thoroughly cleaned and sprayed , all cleaners have access to full PPE equipment , facemasks, gloves etc .

Making a booking and our book with confidence message to you

You can book your getaway to the North Yorkshire Moors and Coast with Cottage Escapes and be confident that we will completely support you if changes need to be made to your holiday.

We have cottages available to book from now to the end of 2021 with an offer of transferring your booking to a later date in the case of any further Coronavirus related travel restrictions or free cancellation and a full no quibble refund. We’ve put this in place to give you the peace of mind you need and are able to do so because we are a family run business and own all of the properties in our portfolio.

Will the holiday cottages be safe in future?

Our cottages are regularly occupied and cleaned each changeover to a high standard for subsequent guests. It is important that in addition to this, all our guests and staff follow the government guidelines on cleaning and public health. We are taking additional precautions using PPE throughout our Thirley Cotes farm site where we operate an onsite reception and site management facility.

Can I cancel my holiday?

The government has issued clear advice about updated travel regulations so please adhere to those .

Our normal terms and conditions of business apply to all future bookings for the time being.

We will continue to monitor Government advice and take any necessary action to help our customers wherever possible.

Thank you for your patience. We hope the above will provide you with some clear answers relating to your holiday, but if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to get in touch on 01723 871782 or email us at holidays@cottage-escapes.co.uk. We also recommend that you visit The World Health Organization and gov.uk for the most up to date information.
