In the area

Threlkeld sits four miles east of Keswick, under the shadow of Blencathra and is home to a history dating back centuries. The village hall (Threlkeld Public Room) has served visitors for hundreds of years and today, sits alongside a café and two superb pubs, The Sally and the Horse and Farrier.

Keswick is also just a short drive away, where you’ll find plenty to keep you occupied, from shops and museums to boating trips around Lake Derwentwater. Walking the fells is a major draw to the area and a nearby abandoned railway track enables you to reach the neighbouring market town on foot, or using two wheels.

Beautiful Ullswater lies just to the east of this Threlkeld-based cottage and Thirlmere sits below.

We could not fault this property. As owners of holiday properties ourselves in the UK and France we understand the thought and attention to details which has gone into making this a superbly comfortable retreat. The extra hygiene measures were noted and appreciated. The young adult contingent in our family requested we make this an annual trip. High praise indeed!

GILLIAN TAIT JUL 2020

Great house with nice large rooms and off road parking. This was our second visit to the property.

FREDDIE

A wonderful and well equipped luxury cottage. Will definitely book again!

LINDA

This was our third stay and it is difficult to fault. If I'm being ultra picky: we had to buy our own soup ladle.
