In the area

Tommy’s Cottage is set in the heart of the Lake District (on the edge of Keswick) where you’ll find plenty of fabulous tracks and trails. Whilst the Square Orange Café and Pack Horse Inn are just a stone’s throw (or two) from the property.

Beyond the village, foodies will find lots of places to eat and drink and thanks to the surrounding fells, lakes and spectacular scenery, nature and art aficionados will fall head over heels for the wild landscape.

The Lake District National Park is home to 912 square miles of mountains, rivers and coastline and receives almost 16 million visitors a year. No wonder, then, that it was loved so dearly by Alfred Wainwright, Arthur Ransome and William and Dorothy Wordsworth, to name but a few.
