Overview

Just a short jaunt from the heart of Keswick (a quintessentially Cumbrian market town complete with charming tea rooms and independent shops aplenty), this pet-friendly Lake District cottage sleeps 6 and is perfect for family holidays or groups of friends.

Accommodation

There’s an open plan living and dining space with adjacent kitchen and 3 bedrooms (sleeps 6), 2 bathrooms and a private rear courtyard. All fuel, bed linen, power, towels and WiFi are included. A cot and highchair are available on request and we welcome one canine companion.

Ground floor

Dining Area	Adjacent to the kitchen is a dining space which features seating for 6 and French doors that open out onto the patio garden. Complete with table and chairs for morning coffee
Kitchen	The kitchen comes stocked an electric oven, gas hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, washer/dryer, dishwasher and tableware
Living Space	The sitting room is a cosy space with a recessed living flame gas fire, two sofas and an armchair, proving the perfect spot for relaxing after exploring nearby Derwentwater (said to be Beatrix Potter’s favourite lake). There’s also a 43″ smart TV and DVD player
Twin Bedroom 1	The ground floor en-suite twin bedroom comes complete with shower, WC and wash basin, dressing table, wardrobe and linens

First Floor

Master King Bedroom	On the first floor is the master bedroom with king-sized bed, dressing table and wardrobe. Offers access to the first floor family bathroom
Twin Bedroom 2	The second twin bedroom comes complete with dressing table and wardrobe
Bathroom	Bath, overhead shower, wash basin, WC and heated rail to keep towels warm

Tommy’s Cottage is set in the heart of the Lake District (on the edge of Keswick) where you’ll find plenty of fabulous tracks and trails. Whilst the Square Orange Café and Pack Horse Inn are just a stone’s throw (or two) from the property.

Beyond the village, foodies will find lots of places to eat and drink and thanks to the surrounding fells, lakes and spectacular scenery, nature and art aficionados will fall head over heels for the wild landscape.

The Lake District National Park is home to 912 square miles of mountains, rivers and coastline and receives almost 16 million visitors a year. No wonder, then, that it was loved so dearly by Alfred Wainwright, Arthur Ransome and William and Dorothy Wordsworth, to name a few.

Tommy's Cottage is a great place to stay in the Lake District and an easy walk to Keswick market place. We are a family of 4 adults and 2 children and there was plenty of space and we particularly liked having a bedroom and shower downstairs (and a further 2 bedrooms and bathroom upstairs). Every area was warm and well maintained, with tasteful decor and furniture, WiFi is also available throughout. Our stay was good value for money and we look forward to our next visit.

Very comfortable and well appointed cottage within easy reach of the shops, leisure pool and Lakes. There's also some great walks straight from the door.

We enjoyed an amazing 4 night stay just before Christmas. Tommy's Cottage is absolutely beautiful (tucked away on a quiet street) and offered everything we needed, with plenty of room to manoeuvre. When we arrived the property was warm, cosy and spotlessly clean and the glistening tree was an added bonus for our girls. It made our visit extra festive when couples with the twinkling lights across the town centre. Keswick is our favourite place in the Lakes and Tommy's Cottage is handily placed for accessing all of the local amenities. This was our second stay and we will definitely be back for a third.
