In the area

Tommy’s Cottage is settled in the heart of the Lake District, on the edge of Keswick, where you’ll find hundreds of fabulous walks and trails on the doorstep. Whilst the Square Orange Café and Pack Horse Inn are just a stone’s throw (or two) from the property.

Beyond the village, foodies will find an array of places to eat and thanks to the surround mountains, lakes and spectacular landscapes, art and nature lovers will stumble upon a scenic setting all year long.

The Lake District National Park comprises 912 square miles of mountains, rivers and coastline and receives almost 16 million visitors a year. No wonder, then, that it was loved so dearly by Alfred Wainwright, Arthur Ransome and William and Dorothy Wordsworth.

Tommy's Cottage is a great place to stay in the Lake District and an easy walk to Keswick market place. We are a family of 4 adults and 2 children and there was plenty of space and we particularly liked having a bedroom and shower downstairs (and a further 2 bedrooms and bathroom upstairs). Every area was warm and well maintained, with tasteful decor and furniture, WiFi is also available throughout. Our stay was good value for money and we look forward to our next visit.

HELEN

Very comfortable and well appointed cottage within easy reach of the shops, leisure pool and Lakes. There's also some great walks straight from the door.

JUDITH

We enjoyed an amazing 4 night stay just before Christmas. Tommy's Cottage is absolutely beautiful (tucked away on a quiet street) and offered everything we needed, with plenty of room to manoeuvre. When we arrived the property was warm, cosy and spotlessly clean and the glistening tree was an added bonus for our girls. It made our visit extra festive when couples with the twinkling lights across the town centre. Keswick is our favourite place in the Lakes and Tommy's Cottage is handily placed for accessing all of the local amenities. This was our second stay and we will definitely be back for a third.

EMMA

This was our third trip to Tommy's Cottage and it is always excellent.
