A lovely holiday cottage, so well placed and really well equipped! We loved how close you were to everything, but still out in the country. Hot tub was a lovely addition. Recommend a trip to Robin Hoods Bay and lunch at Brytherstones country inn. Wish we could have stayed longer!!

LAUREN & ROBERT KITCHING, DURHAM JUL 2021

A really lovely holiday cottage with everything needed for a relaxing holiday. Really dog friendly, the enclosed field being a real bonus. Any maintenance issues dealt with promptly with no fuss. The hot tub gave added luxury. Recommended trips; Ravenscar - lovely walks and tearoom. Bridestone walk in Dalby forest. Falling Foss waterfall lovely walks and tearooms. Fish and chips in Robin Hoods Bay - the best we have ever had. The Plough in Scalby - Fantastic Sunday Lunch. Will recommend to friends

Loads to do so lots more to look forward to!

PETER & GAIL GARDNER, MARPLE JUN 2021

Holly Cottage has been perfect for our weeks' break "up North" . The cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped. We loved exploring the area, especially Falling Foss waterfall, the RSPB sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs, Forge Valley, Whitby and the North Yorks Whitby to Pickering Railway. Thank you for a lovely stay and welcome pack!

SARAH AND GRAHAM POLEGATE, EAST SUSSEX MAY 2021

Lovely break, wonderful cottage. Super base for travel. Visits to Sandsend, Whitby, Scarborough, Ravenscar, Goathland and walks around the vicinity. Return to Holly cottage and dip in the hot tub - very rewarding. Loved the welcome pack very good and Jasper enjoyed his too. We will return having found a fantastic exploration base.

TIM AND LESLEY FARRIS AND JASPER MAY 2021

We have had a lovely stay in Holly Cottage, so much so, we don't want to go home. This location is perfect for families with a dog. Lots of space to explore. We would recommend the May Beck walk. It's not challenging at all, plus there is a lovely place to eat half way round! Boggle hole, Robin Hoods Bay and Whitby are worth a visit too. We also took our little boy on the North Bay Railway which takes you to the North Bay area which is a lot quieter than the South Bay of Scarborough. We will be back again soon for another visit xx

LAUAR & MATT TAYLOR, OLLIE-18 MONTHS OLD & COPPER THE COCKER MAY 2021

Lovely stay, very comfortable and cosy cottage. We were out and about every day and can recommend a trip to Goathland
and waterfalls and parking at Cloughton and picking up the Cleveland Way to Hayburn Wake Inn nearby with lots of seating outside.

DEBBIE AND WAYNE MAY 2021

This is our third visit to Holly Cottage and Thirley Cotes. We love it here! Sadly our dog was very poorly while we were here ( nothing to do with the cottage ) and spent most of the week at the vets in Scarborough. Everyone here has been so kind, asking how she is and checking in. We have already booked a trip back in June with family in Mulberry, we can't wait! We highly recommend Thirley Cotes to all our family and friends. Thanks again.

MELODY, MARC AND MAGGI DEC 2020

A truly fantastic stay. The cottage is perfect and the hot tub is an added bonus. It's a very lovely area and we would highly recommend stopping by the Three Jolly Sailors at Burniston.

SCOTT AND DANIELLE

Once again Holly has lived up to our expectations. Always warm and cosy and a lovely area to explore. The Three Jolly Sailors at Burniston was as good as ever. It was nice to see all the staff again and we are so proud of what they have achieved. The new Thirley Cotes Farm cottages are simply wonderful and we will certainly be back to give them a try (next month if I had my way!!!). Nice touch in providing a doggy welcome pack.

CHRIS, DAVE & BUDDY

Thank you for such an amazing holiday. Holly was perfect for our little family and came complete with everything you could think of. There's so much to see and do in the area and it was a truly relaxing break. Best of all - we got engaged on the first night. Thank you Cottage Escapes!

Booked from Friday to Monday and loved arriving to such a spotless cottage. Not to mention a thoughtful welcome basket. The hot tub was amazing after a long afternoon in spent exploring Scarborough and the bed was super comfy. We will definitely be back.

ELLA & JOE

We booked Holly and Sycamore Cottage and both far exceeded our expectations. Thank you for an amazing stay.

A lovely and clean cottage complete with everything we needed for a perfect break. The hot tub was a nice little extra and we will certainly be recommending it to family and friends. Looking forward to coming back sometime in the future.

ANNE, MALCOLM & MISTY THE DOG

A beautiful holiday home in stunning surroundings and the hot tub is the icing on the cake. We enjoyed our trip to the North Yorkshire Coast very much and a ride from Pickering on the steam train was a great way to spend an afternoon. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we have. Thank you to all the staff at Cottage Escapes.

JUDY & MERV

Perfect weekend getaway and a much needed break. We visited York (highly recommend the Brew and Brownie café), Robin Hoods Bay and Whitby from this beautiful cottage. Which was very homely and the staff were all so lovely and welcoming. The surrounding scenery is beautiful and our private hot tub was a fabulous bonus. Would highly recommend.

DANI AND DARREN

A superb cottage in the most stunning location. We hope to return one day. But until then, keep up the good work.

STEVE AND PAT

We enjoyed a lovely stay in this beautiful cottage. Little touches like the welcome pack on arrival and array of leaflets and magazines really made us feel at home and we visited Scarborough, Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, York and Filey. We also tried the recommended May Beck and Falling Foss walk and adored the tea garden at Midge Hall.
Thank you for the pointer and a wonderful holiday.

GEORGE AND BECKY

Truly a 5 star place to stay. Holly is a beautiful cottage in a great area and the hot tub is the best respite after long walks. The doggy welcome pack and bottle of prosecco on arrival was a lovely touch and we would definitely come again/recommend to friends and family. Thank you very much to all the team at Cottage Escapes!
