Accommodation

Three bedrooms are spread across the top two floors of the house. There’s a ground floor living and dining space which leads further down stone steps to the kitchen, complete with breakfast table and appliances. Mary’s Cottage is very much a get away-from-it-all retreat and welcomes families and friends to holiday in style. There’s also plenty to do on the doorstep.

The open plan living space features an iPod docking station, 43″ smart TV, DVD player, sofa. oak flooring and gas stove

Adjacent to the living space is a dining area with table comfortably seating six

Kitchen

The kitchen equipped with an electric oven, ceramic hob and integrated appliances, including a fridge, freezer, microwave and dishwasher. In addition, there’s a washer/dryer and breakfast table for morning coffee

First Floor

King Bedroom 1

Three bedrooms span the top two levels of the property. The second floor features a master bedroom with king-size bed, wardrobe, dressing table, TV and views of the surrounding fells

Twin Bedroom

The first floor twin bedroom comes complete with a dressing table, built in wardrobe and en-suite shower room with hand basin, heated towel rail and WC

Bathrooms

The bathroom adjacent to the master bedroom is a complete bathroom with shower overhead, towel rail, wash basin and WC

Second Floor

King Bedroom 2

The second floor king sized bedroom benefits from views of the surrounding fells. En-suite shower with wash basin, heated towel rail and WC

A high chair and cot can be provided on request

Mary’s Cottage is ideally located for a stroll to the bustling town centre of Keswick. Where you’ll discover plenty of spots to explore, and places to eat and drink. Just a stone’s throw away, you’ll find the Wainwright, Bank Tavern, Pack Horse Inn, and Square Orange Café (serving up a range of traditional country cuisine and a regular programme of live gigs). While a short drive along Bassenthwaite Lake is the Pheasant Inn, a fine-dining bistro stocked with vintage whiskies and Lakeland ales.

Whinlatter (England’s only true mountain forest) and the northern and eastern slopes of Skiddaw are close by and 4000-year old Castlerigg Stone Circle is set on a hilltop 1 mile east.

Perfect for cyclists and walkers, Catbells is a climb richly rewarded with stunning views, while Buttermere is dominated by two spectacular sites; the famous fells seen over Crummock Water and rocky Grassmoor End, looming over the northern end of the lake.  If you want to keep things simple, Hope Park is just minutes from the doorstep.
