Mulberry CottageThirley Cotes Farm, Yorkshire

Overview

We are delighted to reveal a brand new addition to the Thirley Cotes Farm estate, Mulberry Cottage.

Tucked away in Harwood Dale just minutes from the coast, this lovingly restored retreat on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors offers the best of both worlds – the seclusion of the countryside and draw of the sea.

A bold and beautiful barn conversion, Mulberry Cottage is ready to welcome 6 guests looking for a peaceful, luxurious and laid-back escape. Ideal for larger families or a group celebration, it benefits from lots of space for socialising both inside and in the garden and a fabulous hot tub, perfect for whiling away a sunny afternoon with a glass or two of something sparkling.

As you open the door and step into this country home, you’ll know you’ve arrived somewhere truly special. With a fabulous conservatory overlooking the rolling landscape, underfloor heating throughout and each bedroom having its own bathroom, every luxury has been thought of here, whilst being surrounded by open countryside means peace and tranquillity reign and guarantees a blissful escape.

It’s a doggie paradise, with plenty of walks from your front door and the one-level layout means they’ll be happy inside, too. Please note that we welcome one large or two small to medium sized dogs (we can accept 2 well behaved Labradors).

Mulberry also has a large front garden, private terrace and wonderful amenity play area and games room just a hop, skip and a jump away, so there’s plenty to keep children entertained – and don’t be surprised if you glimpse our resident wildlife from the window, they like to roam around.

Location

In the area

A combination of spectacular natural landscapes – not least the stunning coastline of towering cliffs, golden beaches and expansive moorland have ensured the region boasts a well-deserved reputation as a walker’s paradise. On any given day, you may find yourself strolling along sandy seashores, spotting puffins or even paying a visit to the grave of Bram Stoker’s Dracula at Whitby’s cliff-top abbey. Within the village of Harwood Dale itself, you’ll find a local pub and just a short drive away are the coastal towns of Scarborough, Flamborough, Filey and Robin Hood’s Bay. Surrounded by unspoilt woodland, being outdoors is a real highlight of this property. During spring you’ll be treated to blankets of snowdrops and bluebells, wildlife galore during summer and autumn and the most spectacular scenery over winter months. There are many activities and attractions for everyone to enjoy close by, too, including Dalby forest with its many cycle tracks and walks, Go Ape tree and segway adventures, Eden Camp history museum, Flamingo Land zoo and theme park and the beautiful city of York is around 1 hour away.
